Magnetic Resonance Imaging

MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) has been used since the late 80s. The MRI machine uses radio waves, an antenna, a large magnet and a computer to produce clear, diagnostic images of the human body. After the MRI machine produces the magnetic field, radio waves are sent into the body and measure the response of its cells with the computer. From this information the computer is able to create a 3D picture of the inside of the body. The procedure is safe and painless and does not produce any side effects.
